AMIT Malviya, the leader of the BJP, described on Friday the order of the Supreme Court, which directed the government of West Bengal to pay 25% DA (expensive contribution) to the State Government employees for the “main victory” for employees, PTI reported.
“This is the main victory for the employees of the Government of West Bengal and Bengal BJP,” Malviya said in a post on the X.
At the beginning of the day, the bench of judges Sanjay Karol and Sandeep issued an interim order in which they ordered the government of West Bengal to make a payment within three months and publish a matter that will be heard next in August.
Later in his post X Malviya claimed that the government of West Bengal had made several attempts to delay the proceedings.
“After a long legal battle and several attempts by the state government-the 17 adjournment-delay, the Supreme Court finally issued an indicative order. The court ordered the Government of West Bengal to pay at least 25% of the ongoing attachments (DA) unaffected by employees,” he said.
Malviya said the Supreme Court suggested that the state pays 50% of the fees. Yet, the Congress of Abhishek Manu Singhvi, representing the State Government led by the Trinamool Congress, claimed that the state lacked financial capacity to make such a large payment at once.
“He allegedly claimed that such a step would” break the back “of the state government. If only mamata Banerjee and her close helpers did not throw the treasury with impudent impunity, there would be money to pay the state government employees, ”he said.
“This decision follows after the arrival of the High Court in May 2022, which will direct the government of West Bengal to pay Da to its employees for the central government.
Malviya said BJP will ensure that government employees in West Bengal receive what they owe.
SUVENDA ADHIKARI BJP welcomes SC decisions:
Meanwhile, the leader of the BJP and the leader of the opposition (LOP) in the Assembly of West Bengal, Suveend Adhikari, welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court Directive.
He also criticized the state government and called them “bankruptcy”.
“I welcome it … today the Supreme Court said that DA is the right of employees of the state government … This government is a completely bankruptcy government … I am sure that pensioners will have to get their DA and arrears. Then Mamata Banerjee will become a former main minister, the BJP will come and give Adhikari,” Adhikari will come. “
