Victoria Jones, daughter of Oscar-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones, was found dead in a San Francisco hotel. She was 34.

According to reports first published by TMZ, which cited law enforcement sources, Jones was found unresponsive in the early hours of New Year’s at the Fairmont Hotel. The emergency services were called shortly before three o’clock in the morning and paramedics went to the scene.
A spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department confirmed that crews were dispatched to the hotel at 2:52 a.m. “Our units went to the scene, conducted an examination and declared one person dead,” the spokeswoman said, adding that the local police and the medical examiner subsequently took over the investigation.

The cause of death has not yet been determined. Authorities did not say whether foul play was suspected, and no other details were immediately available.
What happened and who found her?
The Daily Mail reported that another hotel guest raised the alarm after finding Jones unresponsive in the hotel hallway. Officials have not publicly confirmed the circumstances of how she got into the hallway or whether she was alone in the hotel.
Victoria Jones was the second child of Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife Kimberlea Cloughley. She is survived by her older brother, Austin, who is 43 years old. The family has not issued any public statement at the time of writing.
As a child, Jones appeared in several film and television projects, including starring alongside her father in Men in Black II and The Three Funerals of Melquiades Estrada. She also had a role in the popular TV series ‘One Tree Hill’. Although she did not pursue a long-term acting career until adulthood, she occasionally accompanied her father to public events and film festivals.
Speaking during the promotion of “The Three Funerals of Melquiades Estrada,” Tommy Lee Jones once spoke warmly of his daughter’s early interest in acting. “She’s a good actress, she has a SAG (Screen Actors Guild) card, she speaks perfect Spanish. When she was a baby, I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak Spanish to her,” he said.

He also recounted a more humorous moment from her teenage years and reflected on the demands of film production. “She had to get up at 5 in the morning,” he told The New Yorker. “One morning she wouldn’t get out of bed. I said, ‘Honey, this is work.’ But she didn’t move.
“So I fired her. Then, without telling me, the production crew walked up to her, woke her up, and got her out on set just in time.”
Jones and her father have often been photographed together at red carpet events, including in October 2018 when Tommy Lee Jones served on the jury at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
Tommy Lee Jones, now 79 years old, is one of Hollywood’s most respected actors. He won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for his role in The Fugitive and has appeared in a number of acclaimed films, including JFK, Lincoln, In the Valley of Elah and No Country for Old Men.
The investigation into the death of Victoria Jones is ongoing, with the medical examiner determining the cause in the coming days.
