On Saturday (April 19, 2025), Vishva Hindud Parisad (VHP) protested in Nagpur in Nagpur and condemned violence in Murshidabad in West Bengal and sought the government of the President in Mamata Banerjee.
Several parts of Murshidabad have gripped violence during the protests of Muslim groups against the WAQF Act (amendment) on 11.-12. April, resulting in the death of three people, injuries of several police staff and arson that left hundreds of real estate and vehicles damaged.
About 400 people, mostly women and children, escaped from their homes in Dhulian, Shamserganj in Murshidabad to Maldova Baishnabnagar to escape the violence that occurred in the majority of Muslim areas.
During their protest on the varietal square in Sitabuldi, the employees of VHP and Bajrang gave induced sloganeering against the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal and urged Hindy to unite.
“The Mamata Baerjee government in West Bengal must be rejected and the president’s rule should be imposed. We are introducing protests throughout the country,” Nagpur Mantri told reporters.
