Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy on Sunday (December 7, 2025) accused former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of trying to derive political distance from the MP’s gesture made “out of compassion” for a needy person.
He was reacting to the YSRCP president’s comment after the MP gave ₹50,000 in the form of a check to one Appanna of Srikakulam when his family was struggling to make ends meet.
The MP was speaking after distributing tricycles during an event organized by his foundation VPR in Nellore constituency. Tricycles were handed over to the physically challenged by Minister for Municipal Administration and local legislator P. Narayan.
Mr. Narayana praised the foundation for reaching out to the poor even before the family entered active politics.
