Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) organized a protest in Kottakuppam on Tuesday, which sought to withdraw the WAQF law (amendment) after the bill was recently approved in both houses of Parliament.
The party cadre led by a member of the parliament Villupuram D. Ravikumar participated in a protest that condemned the BJP government in the center for pushing a change ignoring the extensive opposition of Muslim organizations and political parties.
Mr. Ravikumar, who said that the Law 2025 WAQF (amendment) was against the national unity, claimed that the government of the Union, which does not interfere with the property affairs of other religious communities, aggressively interfered with the Waqf Council.
