Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) presented a demonstration in Marakkanama near Tuesday here and demanded immediate release of the waiting fees Tamil Nadu under the National Employment Warranty Scheme Mahatma Gandhi (Mgnregs).
Villupuram member of Parliament D. Ravikumar said that Tamil Nadu was not assigned to Tamil Nadu even half of the tranches of the funds received within the system. As a result, more than 5.12 lakh workers who registered within this system did not receive a guaranteed 100 days of work within MGNGS.
Mr. Ravikumar said that the government led by the BJP systematically undermined the system on Wednesday and the total number of male days was drastically reduced in the state. The center reduced the day day in Tamil Nadu. As a result, several card holders in the state did not get reasonable work and lost their living.
He demanded the center to ensure that MGNGS continues to provide “dignified job” and “financial security” to the poor countryside.
