(PTI) New Delhi: Controversy engulfed the recently concluded Delhi Premier League (DPL) season with Vansh Bedi, who played for Central Delhi Kings, reporting a “corrective approach” by the cricketer from the neighboring state. The young goal shooter was found to have flagged the approach to the anti-corruption wing, which was later documented as well.“Vansh Bedi immediately reported a corrupt approach to the anti-corruption wing by a player from Uttar Pradesh who also played in the T20 league in the state. We have attached SLOs with every team this year and all our measures have been watertight,” DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma said.The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has written to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) seeking advice on the matter and how to approach claims arising from the sting operation carried out by Tehelka.“We have written to the BCCI and will wait for their instructions,” the DDCA secretary added.TimesofIndia.com has reached out to BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia for comment and the story will be updated once he responds.
