The special cell of Ernakulam Vigilance and the anti -corruption office (VACB) registered the case against the doctor for alleged assets of assets worth 19.78 ₹ MAKH disproportionate to its known sources of income.
Saji Sebastian, 54, from Thrissur, who now serves on Kozhikode Government Medical College, is the one who has been booked. VACB started a preliminary investigation against the accused after allegedly found that he was engaged in private practice during the flash inspection.
At work as a associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine, he was reportedly found that Dr. Sebastian created real estate, including deposits of 2.55 GBP Crore in various bank accounts. It was found that 19.78 Lakh was disproportionate to his known sources of income, said the statement issued by Vacb.
The Vacb Special Cell team, who attacked the house of Dr. Sebastian in Thrissur and his temporary residence in Kozhikode, claiming that he confiscated about 10 documents related to his disproportionate sources of income.
