When fourteen -year -old Vibhav SuryavANSHi left the Sawai Mansingh stadium after breaking the second fastest century in the history of the IPL, applause was not limited to Rajasthan Royals. Somewhere away from Jaipur, in a quieter corner of Bihar, his child coach, Manish Ojha, he watched with a full heart and remembered a quiet, determined boy who never needed a harsh word to be kept.
“I never had to scold him once because of his teachings,” said Ojha Indiana.in, Pride, who is unmistakable in his voice.
“If I ever showed a shot or explained the technique, I never had to repeat it. He immediately understood. He’s a great student.”
On Monday, VAIBHAV became the youngest male cricket that won the T20 centuryHe reached his hundreds in just 35 missed, hammered 11 six and seven borders against some of the best pitchers in the game. Of these 11 six, three traveled for 85 meters, two per 90 meters. Some of them even landed on the roof of stands at the Sawai Mansingh stadium.
Vibhav’s breathtaking 101 of the 38 balls led Rajasthan Royals to chase 210 in only 15.5 overs – knocking that left the cricket world in respect.
“What did you do at 14?” became buzzing on social media How fans, scientists and cricket scientists wondered how a fourteen -year -old could break the best of the stalls into the stalls.
With Jaipur Blitz, Vaibhav gave modern cricket fans a fleeting view of what it could be to watch the 16 -year -old Sachin Tendulkar, who in the births is accepted by the legendary Western India and Pakistan.
In 10, Vibhav broke 90 meters six
While many discovered Vibhav’s ability to clean the border with 90 meters six, his coach has seen this story developed for years. Ojha first met Vaibhav in 2018, after his father persistently sought him.
“I saw him first around 2018,” Ojha recalled. “He came to training with his father. I wasn’t at the academy that day, so we didn’t meet. But about a week later they found me, got my number, contacted me and then we finally met.”
Even at the age of 10 and a half years, the ability of VAIBHAV was inadmissible. One particular match in 2022, organized in Ojh’s coaching center, strengthened his belief that he witnessed something extraordinary.
“In 2022 I organized a match at my academy. It is extraordinary.”
So much strength for a fourteen -year -old?
The force that dazzled the IPL audience in Jaipur was not accidental; It was carefully built by a structured training regime focused on technology and trust.
“How can a fourteen -year -old create so much strength?” We asked ojha.
“This is very possible. For the strength of strength, the most important thing is self -confidence and playing in your comfort zone,” Ojha explained. “From the early phase I fed him full throwing.
“When he was smaller, the robot of the feast was too fast and the ball was used to bounce too much. So we gave him a full throw to concentrate on timing and technique. I said to him: raise the bat high, meet the ball in line and generate as much energy as possible.
“We worked on all shots, pulling, hind legs, elevators-this was regular. Look at his repurgation and prolongation. I trained him to open his hands fully-like as Abhishek Sharma or Yuvraj Singh.
His distinctive high backlift, reminiscent of Yuvraj Singh and Souvrav gangules, was not a chance.
Unlike many coaches, OJHA was not allowed to be with the natural talent that Valent had. He didn’t try to tell him to play an orthodox cricket.
“No, it’s actually intentional,” Ojha said. “Take a look at Yuvraj Singh or Souvrav Ganguly-the best and extended the Backlift more, the more power they generated.
Vibhav’s daily training was intense. Sometimes his Father packed another tiffin and fed network pitchwho bowed to his son.
“From the early phase he played 350-400 balls a day,” Ojha said. “Basic exercises such as front leg units, lofted shots, grades, cut shots, pull, pull out everyone.
Chat with Coach in the match day
In the IPL 2025 season, Vaibhav slid down into high -intensive Rajasthan Royals, faced 150 km / plus the side shoulders without any special privileges. But when his moment came, he looked surprisingly folded against the pitfalls like Mohammed Siraj, Prazidh Krishna, Ishant Sharma and Rashid Khan.
Interestingly, Ojha had a vital conversation with Vibhav just before the historical match.
“Yes, I talked to him around 10:30 yesterday morning,” he said. “We discussed some important things.”
Ojha noticed that in the previous match, Vaibhav was slightly hurried and swung on everything. The advice was simple but critical.
“I said to him,” VAIBHAV, you are the kind of player who doesn’t care if it is a powerplay or when you intervene, the ball comes out of the ground. So don’t panic. “I told him to stay patient, playing every ball deservedly and believed his natural ability to beat.”
He also advised Vibhav to watch and learn from his leader Yashasvi Jaiswal, especially in how Jaiswal changed his work on his feet to maintain the guesswork.
“I said to him,” Learn from Jaiswal-how that they will adapt to the work on your feet and rotate when there are no free deliveries. Do not go with pre-planned thinking; adjust to the situation. “
This interview also found the decision of VAIBHAV to stand slightly on the guard outside the foot in Jaipur.
“Yes,” Ojha confirmed. “I advised that you can’t always play from the ball line. Sometimes you have to go to the line, especially for the length balls and those that avoid you.”
It is a testimony to Vibhav’s meaning and the ability to learn that he implemented these improvements within hours.
In addition to the physical side, Ojha is equally impressed with Vibhav’s temperament.
Is the fourteen -year -old able to master the glory and recognition he will find him?
“At an extremely high level,” he said.
“It will handle fame and pressure. And it will mark my words: in the next to two years it will be part of the T20 Indian team.”
Despite all this, one fiber remained constant: Vibhav’s quiet, steel persecution of excellence, inspired by his idol Brian Lara.
“From the first day he tried to be like him,” Ojha said. “His intention to launch is very similar-he likes to be under pressure. She believes that the pitching is putting pressure.”
On Monday evening, this philosophy shone clearly in Jaipur – and a new star was born.
