
The Government of the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led by Uttar Pradesh will provide 20 % of the horizontal reservation to the former agnivest in recruitment for several positions in the state police power. This decision was taken by the UP Cabinet at a meeting held on June 3.
“As far as 20 % of the former Agniveers reservation in the Uttar Přebrastéš police power … You are well aware that the Indian government has introduced a very ambitious system, Agneepath, for which Agniveers’ age boundaries and to strengthen them in each way between 17.5 and 21.5 years for 4 years.
“Today, it was decided to provide them with a 20 % horizontal reservation … This is a big decision in itself. For them, it was also provided for 3 years of relaxation,” he said.
The reservation will be in direct recruitment in the state police, including Pradeshik Constabulary (PAC), mounted police and fire services. The meeting took place in Lucknow under the Presidency of the Chief Minister UTTAR Pradesh Yogi Adityanath.
A meaningful post-service job
Khanna, the Minister of Finance UP, said the decision was aimed at ensuring a meaningful post-conservative job for Agniveers who were completing their four-year term within the Agnipath system.
“The reservation will be applicable in all categories – General, SC, ST and OBC – Agniveers,” he said.
The first dose of recruitment in this policy is expected to begin in 2026 – year when the first dose of Agniveers will retire. Many other countries such as Haryana and Odisha have also deepened reservation schemes for former agnivers.
The Agninath scheme started by the Union government in 2022 to serve in defense services – the army, the Air Force and NAVO – as Agniveers for four years.
Bed policy, breakfast and home 2025
Yogi Adityanath also approved Bed and Breakfast Uttar Pradesh Bed and Breakfast (B and B) and Homestay Policy 2025 to improve services and provide better opportunities for pilgrims and tourists in Uttar Pradesh
This is a great decision in itself. The provisions on relaxation for 3 years were also provided for them.
Khanna said Homestay and B and B policy provides up to six rooms (12 beds). Khanna stated that the Committee, headed by a district judge and composed of a district police chief (or representative), and others would grant permission to operate services in the household.
