UP DA hike: How much will the salary increase?
Dearness Allowance is a special allowance usually given to civil servants and pensioners based on their basic salary to compensate for inflation.
If the employee’s basic salary is ₹10,000, the employee is currently getting 55% DA of this amount which means he is getting ₹5,500 ace YES.
As the DA increases, the component increases to 58%. That means salaried employees ₹10,000 will receive a dependency allowance of Rs ₹5,800.
The Center has also announced an increase in DA
The hike in UP DA comes weeks after the Center also announced a hike in DA for central government employees and pensioners with effect from July 1.
This increases the current rate from 55% to 58% of basic pay or pension, according to a government statement.
The hike, which aims to offset the impact of inflation, will benefit around 49.19 million central government employees and 68.72 million pensioners.
