The restriction of the Banakacherl Andhra Pradesh irrigation project as “illegal”, the Minister of irrigation and the civic reserves of N. Uttam Kumar Reddy promised to fight his teeth and nails against him.
On Sunday he spoke at a public meeting after the Ramagundam Lift irrigation scheme in Goliwada in the PedDapalli district in Anthhergaon Mandal on Sunday. It was built on the CRORE 75 GBP to irrigate over 13,000 hectares in several villages in Anthergaon Mandal and two villages in neighboring mandals. Ministers D. Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Tummal Nagesware Rao and Aduluri Laxman Kumar also spoke.
“We complained against the Banakacherla project with the Godavari (GRMB) Council, the Central Water Commission (CWC) and other legal authorities. “The proposed Polavaram-Banakacherla link is against the Reorganization Act Andr Pradesh and violates the rights of telangans to river water.”
Mr. Reddy claimed that the project of irrigation of the Kaleshwaram elevator was built at huge costs with the intention of looting public money during the BRS government, which led to a huge outflow of the Treasury. “He was not under the clip in Manthani, where the project is located, did not get under the irrigation under the irrigation cover,” he added.
Report of the National Authority for the safety of the dam (NDSA) revealed serious structural shortcomings in three parts of the clip. The report pointed out that if water was stored in these baricates, it would lead to 44 villages and areas surrounding Bhadrachalam, he said.
He announced a penalty of 1.1 GBP to prepare a detailed report on the Pathipak Tank project in the Peddapall district.
Later, the ministers handed over new rationing cards to eligible recipients at a meeting held at the headquarters Dharmaram Mandal.
