SUMMARY: ‘Sister Wives’ Meri Brown Reveals Kody’s Hidden Financial Scam!
In the January 19 episode Sister’s Wives, Mary Brown she exposes injustices in how her family’s finances were managed and distributed – exposing the process was not fair.
Meri disputes over Coyote Pass
“His big thing then was that I get two acres. Two acres,” Merihe explains to his friend Jenn Sullivan during the episode. She accuses her ex-husband of Cody Brownthat he was not going to give her an equal share of the Coyote Pass family property. “He says, ‘Well, you don’t need that much because you don’t have that many kids.’
Jenn reminds Meri that she contributed equally to the property located in Flagstaff, Arizona, even though she had only one child, Leona, with Codes.
“I don’t know if they don’t remember like when our funds were all pooled together and the family funds that I was helping with went to the kids’ college, went to the property,” Meri he says. “It went into everything. We had a family fund.”
Jenn adds that Mary’s the money paid for many of the children’s expenses, but Leon’s needs were left out. “That money paid for most of the kids’ colleges, but not for Leon,” Jen says. Meri confirms, “I paid for Leon’s college,” noting that she also covered Leonova car payments separately without using the family fund.
“I really don’t know how much of the family fund actually paid for other kids’ school or cars,” Meri he admits, “but I know that my child’s school was not taken care of from the family fund.”
Unequal financial treatment
Although Meri is Cody’s the longest-married partner, shares that she never received her fair share of the collective finances. “Codes what he actually said was, ‘Because I only have one child, I’m not entitled to an equal share of the property,'” Meri he claims, again referring to the Coyote Pass communal land.
Despite Codes dismiss her fears Meri she remains firm in her belief that she deserves compensation for her contributions. Christine Brownwho left Codes in 2021 she handed over her part of the land Codes and Robyn Brown in exchange for proceeds from the sale of her home in Arizona.
“I put a lot into this marriage emotionally, financially, [and] personally,” Meri concludes. “I didn’t get anything from it, like child support or anything. And I’m not looking for that. So I think it’s fair [that I get] real estate investment. I think it’s only fair that I walked away with at least that.”
Legal action and tensions in the country
Elsewhere in the episode, Codes will meet with a realtor to list Coyote Pass without a consultation Meri or Janelle Brown. Determined to protect their rights, both women are retaining lawyers to ensure a fair distribution of the assets.
Janelle explains the complex nature of land ownership:
“What’s it called, if we sold it now, Meri would be compensated as an acre and a half out of the entire 14. This whole conversation really hinges on Kody. He’s the one who’s on all the headlines.”
He also expresses doubts Cody’s intentions:
“Will you show up and divide it fairly? what are we doing Because he is very greedy. He’ll say something, and then you won’t hear from him forever. Like, I don’t know. There’s no guarantee he’ll be kind.”
Codesin his confessional, he brushed off their concerns, saying, “I’ve just got two ex-wives who were total scumbags that are still coming back now.”
Kody reacts to Christina’s wedding
Later in the episode Codes he shares his feelings about not being invited Christine’s wedding with David Woolley. “Really, where I am. Christine’s happy, and that’s great,” he says, but admits to experiencing FOMO.
“Everybody’s going to have fun.” I get left out of the party and I have FOMO,” she says to the cameras.
Robynpretend to support them Christine’s new chapter – adding sarcastically: “We’re so happy for them… We just want to Christina be happy That’s what we want.”
