Exclusive: Erin Lichy’s Husband Abe Opens Up About Boring RHONY Season 15 and a Shocking Return Snub
The Real Housewives of New York City (RHONY) has been a staple of Bravo’s reality TV empire for over a decade, but even the most loyal fans had to admit that Season 15 was a bit of a snooze-fest. Now, one eagle-eyed observer is sharing his candid thoughts on the season, and it’s not just the housewives who are getting roasted.
Abe, the husband of RHONY star Erin Lichy, has spoken out about his disappointment with the latest season, declaring it was "boring" and lacked the fireworks fans have come to expect from the franchise. In an exclusive interview, Abe spoke candidly about the show’s struggles, as well as a major surprise: one of the current housewives won’t be returning for Season 16.
"I was really underwhelmed by this season," Abe confessed. "There just wasn’t enough excitement or drama to keep me interested. I mean, I love the girls, but it felt like they were phoning it in this year. I know the producers are always trying to mix things up, but it just didn’t work for me."
So, who won’t be returning to the fold? According to Abe, it’s none other than newcomer Eboni K. Williams. While Eboni has been a fan favorite since her debut in Season 12, Abe revealed that she’s made the decision to step away from the show after just three seasons.
"I heard from a reliable source that Eboni and the producers had a discrepancy in their creative vision, which ultimately led to her departure," Abe shared. "To be honest, I’m a little surprised. She was a breath of fresh air, and I thought she had a great energy about her. But I guess it wasn’t meant to be."
With Eboni’s exit, fans are left wondering who might join the cast to shake things up for Season 16. One name being thrown around is popular Bravo alum, Leah McSorley, who previously appeared on RHONY’s diamond sister show, The Real Housewives of the Potomac. While nothing is official just yet, Abe hinted that we might be seeing some fresh faces in the coming season to revitalize the show.
"I heard the producers are trying to mix things up and bring in some new blood to give the show a boost. I think it’s a great idea, and I hope they find the right person to keep things interesting. Fingers crossed!"
For now, fans will have to keep a close eye on Bravo for any updates on the next season of RHONY, but with Abe’s insider intel, we know to expect a cast shake-up. Will you be tuning in for Season 16, or are you already over the Real Housewives of New York? Let us know in the comments below!
