The confederation of Nilgiris (Cean) Associations (Cean) wrote to the district collector Nilgiris, Lakshmi Bhavesa Tanneer, and urged the district administration to cease to use earth monmon during the monsoon seasons, claiming to increase the risk of soil rails along road margins.
“Every monsoon, a motorway department, uses a country to clear the remnants collected on the road edges due to rain storms. It is relevant to understand that this problem arose due to road expansion,” said Surjit K. Chaudhary, IAS chairman and chairman and coordinate.
Mr. Chaudhary said that the removal of the trees holding the soil in place increases the risk of landslides. “The department of highways instead of taking responsibility for its actions and repairs … It is still causing more damage,” he said.
He said that the Earth further destabilized the surrounding areas when cleaning the debris from the road edges and added that the district administration should stop granting permission to use ground montors until the end of the monsoon.
