The mayor of the Minot in North Dakota, Tom Ross, resigned on Tuesday after the probe found him guilty of sending a swinging video to the city representative, AP reported.
According to the ROSS report, he resigned on the same day when an investigation report was published, finding that Ross had sent a video of Masturbating to the city representative of Stefanie Stalheim in January. The report mentioned that Ross had sent a video minute after the two had the phone call to discuss the suicide of the police.
Ross added that Ross even asked Stalheim to delete the video to keep him track and keep the incident between them.
Later, when he spoke to the interviewer, Ross said he recorded the video at home during the lunch break and wanted to send him to his romantic partner, not Stalheim. He said it was a “sexy video for his girlfriend”.
With Ross her direct supervisor and her annual review at that time, Stalheim fought whether he had a formal message, said the report. Her complaint asked for an apology from Ross and that she considered the resignation to be the mayor.
In the probe, the investigator found that Ross’s behavior “directly caused Stalheim’s inability to work in an environment without disproportionate sexual harassment and to create an offensive work environment”.
On Wednesday, Ross said he was taking full responsibility and holding Stalheim “in the highest respect and respect”. He said he had previously resigned from “respecting the process” and added that he was planning to concentrate on himself, heal and move forward with his family.
