If confirmed as an ambassador, I will try to meet the presidential agenda and strengthen the US interests by increasing our defense cooperation, ensuring fair and beneficial trade and deepening technology.”
The United States imposed steep tariffs on a number of Indian goods that quoted concerns about business imbalances and added a layer of tension in economic links in the US and India. After Washington announced 25 percent of tariffs in India, Washington ordered another 25 percent to buy oil in the new Delhi from Russia.
Development comes as President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has undertook to speak and continue business negotiations and signal possible thawing after weeks of blistering for tariffs and Russian oil purchases.
