Virginia, Michigan and North Carolina are the hardest hit, while school closures have also been reported in Minnesota.

Michigan school closings:
According to ABC affiliate WZYZ, confirmed public school closings for Wednesday, Dec. 10 include:

- Secondary public schools

- Detroit Edison Public Academy
- Detroit Public Schools

CBS 17, serving North Carolina, reported delayed starts in many counties, but no shutdowns.

- Northampton County – 2 hour delay
- Vance County – 2 hour delay
- Warren County – 2 hour delay
Minnesota school closings:
School closures have only been reported in three Minnesota school districts, according to Minnesota-based news outlet Bring Me The News.
