President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the United States had a military strike in the Southern Caribbean against a drug vessel operated by the Venezuelan gang of Tren de Aragua. According to Trump, a rare operation in America killed 11 people and meant a sharp escalation in the Washington Anti-Arctic campaign.
In the Social Trump Trump, the strike occurred, while the terrorists were at sea in international waters carrying illegal narcotics, heading to the United States. No US forces were damaged on this strike.
The President also shared a black and white video boat -boat -swinging in flames, although it was not clear enough to confirm the presence of 11 people or drug cargo.
US Defense Minister: “Very clear news”
Defense Minister Pete HegSeth said the strike sent a direct warning to the cartels in the hemisphere.
“Do you want to try to transport medicines? It’s a new day. It’s a different day. So the 11 drug merchants are no longer with us and send a very clear signal that it’s an activity that the United States won’t tolerate in our hemisphere,” HegSeth said about Fox News.
He added that the US Navy and air assets in the region will continue in such missions and warn that “anyone else in the waters we know is a designated terrorist Narco will face the same fate.”
Venezuela accuses us of “imperialist threats”
In Caracas, President Nicolás Maduro condemned the strike within the alleged Washington’s attempt to seize huge oil and gas resources Venezuela.
Maduro said with his childhood with supporters:
“Given the imperialist threats, God (is) with us … From the neighborhood of Caracas, I tell you that there will be peace with sovereignty in Venezuela.”
State Television described Maduro as “bathing in patriotic love” during its public appearance, while officials accused the US of building a false narrative of drug trafficking to destabilize the government.
Trinidad and Tobago welcomes strike
Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, on the other hand, appreciated the US strike and described it as a wound against cartels that stimulated violence in its country.
“I, along with most Earth, are glad that US naval commitment is successful in my mission. The pain and suffering that the cartels caused our nation is immense. I have no compassion for traders; the US military should kill them all violently,” she said.
Persad-Bissesar claimed that the reduction of drug flow, weapons and trading would reduce violence in the Caribbean: “Our country has been devastated by bloody violence and addiction for the greed.
The escalating regional voltage
Operation comes when US naval forces extend their presence outside Venezuela, with eight naval ships located in the Caribbean and the Pacific in missions against narcotics.
While Washington insists that the strike is aimed at the Tren de Aragua, which has been determined by the terrorist organization, questions persist on evidence connecting 11 killed directly with the gang or Venezuelan President Madur, which Trump claims to be controlled by the group.
Given that Venezuela mobilizing soldiers along its coast and the Allies in the Caribbean divided, the strike also risk the stress of relations between USA-Venela and the transformation of regional security dynamics.
