US singer and cultural ambassador Mary Millben has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the BJP-led NDA alliance on their “big win” in the Bihar elections, hailing the result as a mandate for development and empowerment of women.
In a post on X, Millben celebrated the coalition’s performance and also expressed his joy over singer Maithili Thakur’s win, calling her a “little sister”.
“Bihar women voters are the stars of this election!” Millben wrote and credited women voters with shaping the outcome.
Highlighting what she said was her driving mandate, Millben said Prime Minister Modi remains “the only proven leader who can deliver more jobs, bring economic equality, uplift migrant communities and empower women”.
She added that she was “backing the winner” and claimed that “arithmetic will always favor PM Modi”.
Millben ended her message with blessings for the leaders and supporters saying, “God bless you all. #BiharElections.”
Mary Millben attacks Rahul Gandhi
Millben took a sharp dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his party as the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) stormed to a landslide victory in the Bihar assembly elections.
The American singer posted a strongly worded message on X, targeting Congress supporters who had earlier trolled her for supporting the BJP.
Millben’s message to Congress
“Dear Rahul Gandhi, Congress and all the ‘Gandhi Goons’ who trolled me on X a few weeks ago and are now following my friend PM Narendra Modi and the BJP which has hit Bihar elections today,” she wrote as trends showed the NDA crossing the 200-seat mark in the 243-member assembly.
Nitish Kumar’s leadership tested – and reaffirmed
For Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who has ruled Bihar for nearly two decades, the election was widely seen as a test of public confidence and political resilience. Although he was once hailed as “Sushashan Babu” for restoring order and governance, in recent years he has faced accusations of inconsistency and voter fatigue.
