
Donald Trump confirmed Sunday that his special envoy to Steve Witkoff would visit Russia in the next week, before the deadline that the US President set out for new sanctions on Moscow.
In an interview with Trump reporters, he also said that two nuclear submarines, which he deployed on the online row with former Russian president Dmitric Medvedev, were now “in the region”.

Trump did not say whether he meant submarines with nuclear drive or nuclear armed. He also did not work in the exact places of deployment that the US military kept secret.

“We need permanent and stable peace on solid foundations that would satisfy Russia and Ukraine and ensure the safety of both countries,” Putin told reporters.
