Reddit has shared their painful story about working in Indian startup. The post, it is not worth it, hit the chord with many.
For 20 years he worked with us and European companies and knew what a healthy work culture looks like. After he lost his job, he joined the startup in India and ignored all the red flags.
Within a few weeks he saw lies about income, gross founders, long working hours and toxic behavior. He stayed on because the labor market was hard, but stress broke it.
“Classic toxic Indian workplaces – gas lighting, non -printing, impossible clients, zero respect,” he wrote.
“Every day she went to my reason, ethics and self -esteem. Depression crawled into because the failure of the founders has made them abuse them more and more to employees,” he wrote.
The user eventually ended, even without any other work. Soon after, he suffered the main heart attack and needed two emergency stents. The doctors said it was only 30 minutes of death.
“Now I’m at home – out of work, damaged hearts, uncertain future. Was the monthly salary worth the permanent destruction of my health? Hell no. My brain still says,” What option did I have? “But there is always a choice.
“For all who are grinding through toxic workplaces” for financial security ” – your life costs more than any payout. Your family needs you alive, not rich and dead,” he added.
The reaction of social media
Social media users have published empathetic answers. At the same time, they understood what they were going through.
“How many other heart attacks would stop this exploitation! I hope you get the power to overcome this situation,” one user wrote.
“I understand … I’m on the same boat, but not me, my husband got 2 heart attacks..3 stents … at the age of 31. He was forced to sit at home, I left my work for care not only in that but in the hotel.
Another wrote: “The cause of our population, our mental health and human value is very smaller and the government does not care that there is always a replacement for us.”
“It’s a great lesson to get away from Egotist founders who think they are gangsters of the business world. I worked in one such company and my health went down,” he came from another.
