US Open 2026 schedule on Day 5: Gauff, Swiatek and Zverev lead busy schedule

The second round of the 2026 US Open continues Thursday with another full day of action at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament will feature some of the biggest names, with Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina and Alexander Zverev among the main attractions.

Swiatek will open her second-round match against Nadi Podoroska, while top seed Amanda Anisim will take on Lilli Tagger. Naomi Osaka, Madison Keys, Alexandra Eala and Zheng Qinwen are also expected to compete as the women’s draw heads into the third round.

We’re saving the biggest women’s matches for the evening, with Gauff taking on Paula Bados and Rybakina taking on Jessica Bouzas Maneiro. Both bouts could provide stern tests for the top contenders looking to continue their campaigns in New York.

There is also great interest in the men’s draw. Top seed Zverev faces Quentin Halys, while third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime meets Karen Khachanov and ninth seed Taylor Fritz faces Mattio Bellucci.

The men’s program also features former Grand Slam champion Gael Monfils against 14th seed Learner Tien, while Alex de Minaur faces Botic van de Zandschulp. Lorenzo Musetti, Flavio Cobolli and Jakub Menšík are among the other seeded players looking to book their places in the third round.
