
On Sunday, August 24th, the US Open will start in 2025 with a blockbuster line -up in the 1st day with global superstars Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka in the main event in Usta Billie Jean King King National Tennis Center in New York. Indian tennis fans can tune in at the end of Sunday evening and all night, when the first round of Grand Slam develops dramatically.
Novak Djokovic will start his campaign for unprecedented 25. The Olympic champion will face the talented American teenage student Tien at night, scheduled for 4:30 (Monday, August 25).
Tien, who took off four top 10 players this year, will look at the stunning of the Serbian legend, which is trying to re -create history.
Before Djokovic sets off on stage, he defends the female single champion Aryna Sabalenka will start defense of the title Against the Swiss challenge Rebeka Masarová. Their match is the next day in Arthur Ash and is expected to start around 23:30 (Sunday, August 24).
Sabalenek, the world number one, will try to bounce back in three consecutive deep runs in Slams this season – including two final defeats. The aim will become the first woman to defend the US Open for more than ten years.
“This place is so large and in some ways feel bigger than the other slams,” Sabalenka said. “I would like to finish the season with a big samt and world number.”
One of the most anticipated clashes of the day is the former champion Daniil Medvedev, who took over Benjamin Bonzi. The Russian still has to defeat the French when he lost his previous two meetings, including a stunner in Wimbledon. The match is expected around 2:30 in the morning and could be one of the first thrillers of the tournament.
“Whatever I did on the pitch, it didn’t bother him much,” Medvedev said after the loss of Wimbledon. “Everything he did was hard for me to play.”
Last year’s finalist Jessica Pegula takes over Egyptian Mayar Sherif when he focuses on his first title Slam in front of the domestic crowd. 31 -year -old New Yorker believes that American open energy can raise her to new heights.
“It’s just very electric, noisy, fun, a little chaotic,” Pegula said. “But I feel it’s just in New York.”
