A brutal attack by Israeli settlers on Palestinian olive growers was caught on video by an American journalist, the video went viral on social networks.
Brooklyn-based Jasper Nathaniel was walking through the olive fields of Turmus Ayya in the West Bank when he captured chilling footage showing masked Israeli settlers beating Palestinian settlers senselessly armed with crude melee weapons.
In the video, Nathaniel can be heard shouting at Israeli settlers to stop attacking Palestinian farmers, but his pleas fall on deaf ears as a masked Israeli settler clubs an elderly woman and other farmers.
The American is also seen offering injured Palestinian farmers a ride in the vehicle he was using before the video cuts out.

Before uploading the now-viral clip, Nathaniel posted: “Brutal attack by settlers in Turmus’ayya olive fields. Many injuries, including a woman knocked unconscious with a club and repeatedly beaten (2nd photo).”
“The IDF lured us into an ambush, I have it all on video. I will upload it as soon as I have good service. (sic),” he wrote on the X microblogging platform.
In subsequent videos, Nathaniel shared the plight of Palestinian farmers, adding that the elderly woman who was hit by an Israeli settler in the video was in critical condition.
The American journalist also shared a clip that allegedly shows him running away from a crowd of Israeli settlers “moments after the IDF flew away”.

“October 19, 2025. On the first day of the olive harvest in Turmus’ayyer, the Israel Defense Forces lead a group of farmers directly into a brutal ambush by armed settlers. These people must be in jail by tomorrow and the residents of this village and all of Palestine must be protected. Enough is enough (sic.),” the American later wrote,” the American said.
“I wonder where the decent Israelis are”
When Nathaniel’s clip went viral, Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in Palestine, shared the video and highlighted how such attacks have been going on for years without any action from Israel.
“For 2 years the world has seen scenes like this from the West Bank. I wonder where the decent Israelis are, those protesting in Tel Aviv,” Albanese wrote.
“It’s one thing to hate Hamas, but don’t they feel some duty to act to stop their fellow citizens behaving like criminals on the loose?” she asked.
A shaky truce
The fresh revelation of long-rumored Israeli settler violence comes as a truce brokered by Donald Trump between Israel and Hamas hangs in the balance.
Israel launched retaliatory strikes at the weekend against the Palestinian militant group’s aggression after it accused Hamas of violating the terms of a ceasefire following clashes in Rafah.
Authorities in Gaza, meanwhile, reported 33 dead over the weekend from Israeli airstrikes before the IDF signaled on Sunday evening that it would return to ceasefire terms.
