Long queues outside the Center of the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Company (PACS) and dealers’ shops have become a daily order in various parts of the former Karimnagar composite districts, as farmers create snake lines outside these centers directly from the Dawn cracks.
Farmers’ scores on Tuesday morning for fertilizer attacked the Pacs Center in the Karimpet in ShankAppam Mandal. Reportedly stood in the serpentine line for almost two hours, and some of them kept shoes in a line who could not stand for hours.
Chaotic scenes prevailed in the center, as the staff concerned tried to distribute a limited stock of about 230 urea bags to a large number of farmers outside the center, sources said.
The local police threw themselves into the place and came under control. Employees managed to distribute one bag of urea to every farmer until the supply has been exhausted.
Similar scenes witnessed Godown Pac in the village of Mandepalli in Thangallali Mandala from the district of Rajanna Sircilla and in the PACS subcentres in several other villages elsewhere in the district.
