Anecdotal evidence suggests that younger parents are trying gentler methods of raising children without fully discarding the strictness and discipline that previous generations grew up with. The survey found that the vast majority (75%) say they prefer gentleness, with some or no harshness. Gen Z, many of whom are not yet parents, echoed the general trend, but younger millennials, who are likely to be new parents, were slightly less interested in frugal parenting (72%). Women more often chose gentle parenting (77%).
