The woman shared at Reddit that her husband had been out of work for six months after he was also unemployed last year.
Recently got a good offer: £70 Lakh ($ 80,000) per year, hybrid work and short commuting. After learning, however, he would refuse to test the drug. The hourly rate was also lower than what it expected.
My husband said he hated coding and company life, did not want drug tests and dreamed of being an artist. So far, his acting work has been unpaid. He makes a bare minimum to keep his unemployment benefits and avoid serious work.
“When we talk about his work future, he gets avoided. He previously made standup comedy (never earned money) and now says his dream is an entertainer. He chased roles, but so far it was a strictly voluntary basis (SIC).” She wrote.
“When he talked about the coding of the way he had all these months, I would suggest that LinkedIn classes to take over in the library, go MMM and change the subject,” she added.
She supported, but after more fighting and emotional stress, she said she wanted to divorce him.
“I told him he would like to split if he did not take it. He raised the subject of maintenance and how difficult it would be financially for me and tried to buy it from the house. I told him that if he was really planning it, he should call them and let them know (and me!),” She wrote.
In the end he refused to work and agreed to the therapy of couples and the search for jobs.
“But I still feel angry and betrayal, even though he apologized for doing it. I’m overly? (Sic),” she asked.
The reaction of social media
Many Reddit users asked her to think seriously about divorce.
“His answer -” can you afford maintenance? ” – It is outrageous. It does not intentionally work so that it is financially responsible for it if you decide to leave? This is incredibly selfish,” one user wrote.
OP agreed when one user suggested: “Most courts will bring income to prevent those who are able to earn income in terms of child maintenance and support. If he refuses job offers, the court usually sees it.”
“Get out when you can and protect yourself. I see a lot of red flags in your story I get to know,” came from another user.
