Vice -President Rani Channamma University CM Thyagaraja urged young students to update their skills using artificial intelligence instruments (AI) and equip themselves to face the challenges of the future.
He spoke after the start of the orientation program for students in front of Raja Lakhamagoud Pu College in Belagavi.
“We live in an era of artificial intelligence and students should have versatile skills to fit into the future world of employability. All of us, especially young people, have to learn to use these tools for other academic skills,” he said.
He spoke of the role of parents and teachers in the life of a student and urged them to develop a passion for reading.
“Literature and art play a key role in shaping our lives. So, regardless of one’s course and professions, people should read books. Education is the only benefit that supports us all. No one can take away our knowledge,” he said.
Member of the Board of Directors, the Society Cage, Mahantsh M. Kavatagimath, said the company has launched integrated Colege courses to prepare students for competing examinations such as Neet/Jee and others.
He said that the company institutions have made a drastic improvement in the field of medical sciences, engineering and technology. Some of our universities, such as Kaher and BVB College of Engineering, are at the same level as national institutions such as Aims and IIT, he said.
President of the Kle Society Prabhakar Kore called students to take care of their health because it is as important as their academic career. Everyone, especially parents, must realize that medicine and engineering are not the only professions that students should consider. The country needs good economists, lawyers, teachers and historians. “We should encourage young people to look at such possibilities,” he said.
A member of the Vijaykumar Government Council Patil, the main VC Kamagol, the members of the faculty and others, was present, he said.
