
UPA-BOCYUCKA from Andr Pradesh P. Rajani on Monday (September 8, 2025) ordered the state government to cred the actual general fund (GPF) to the relevant high-level employees after complaints about fraudulent selections. The institution also ordered the government to initiate criminal and departments against eing officials.
UPA-BOCYUKTA received two complaints about extensive fraud when downloading GPF amounts in the high-level office (HLC), Divisis Anantapur Letters (LOC). The investigation revealed that officials had diverted GPFs into fake bank accounts by creating duplicate IDs of recipients, which caused the complainants a financial loss and mental agony, the official release on Monday said.
The survey revealed that the GPF part part of the final download of 10 GBP Lakh belonging to G. Jaya Bharathi, the auxiliary executive engineer, and the final payment of the GPF of 17.14 GBP DV Ramasanjna, the pensioner of the executive engineer, was incorrectly credited to them not related to them. The scam was made by a junior assistant in connection with other officers because he permeated supervision and did not verify the details of the recipient.
Taking Serious Note of this misconduct, the Institution Directed the Government to Credit the Genuine GPF Amounts to the respective Accounts of the Complainants Without Waiting for the Outcome of Disciplinary Proceedings and to Initiate Criminal and Departmental Against the Erring Officials, Including the Then Executive Engineers, Superintendent, and Junior Assistants of the High-Level Canal (HLC) Letter of Credit (LOC) Division and Examine the Lapses in the CFMS Portal Operations and repair responsibility wherever it is due.
Following the orders of institutions, the Government settled the complainant GPF fees to their legitimate accounts and allowed to pay interest on delayed settlement to 7.1 % instead of 12 % until the account head approval.
Furthermore, disciplinary proceedings against K. Venko Raman Reddy, then executive engineer, A. Venkata Suresh Babu and P.MD. Usman, the then superintendent, A. Pravesh Kumar, then junior assistant, K. Subramanyam (Retd), the then superintendent; And the criminal case was registered according to sections 420, 406 and 409 IPC with 34 IPC. During the investigation of the case, the Police arrested Pravesh Kumar and sent him into his judicial custody.
