UP Network and Dreamsmart have collaborated to reveal what the company calls the world’s first Web3 smart glasses focused on artificial intelligence (AI). Smart glasses are equipped with Google’s Gemini AI, providing real-time contextual artificial intelligence. UP Network has developed an AI proxy operating system to improve human-computer interaction, while Dreamsmart’s technology specializes in advanced technology solutions for electric vehicles, smartphones and wearable devices. The device has been announced at a time when Web3 and AI technologies have experienced significant growth.
The two companies have not announced the name (or price) of these smart glasses and can be launched in Q1 2025 according to a press release. According to the companies, the glasses will give users access to AI assistants to handle encryption-related tasks. AI is expected to help new immigrants interact with blockchain-related services using natural language commands.
According to the two companies, glasses users will receive tokenized incentives for participation in decentralized activities. These glasses allow users to own their data as assets and allow them to have complete autonomous control as all operations are claimed to be available on the device. All Web3 interactions initiated by these glasses will also be processed on the device.
“These glasses are not just a device – they are the portal to the future of computing and decentralized technologies, combining AI, XR and Web3 incentives into a strong ecosystem,” said Devansh Khatri, co-founder of UP Network.
The glasses weigh 44 grams and are said to provide up to eight hours of battery life. According to the company, glasses pack a display based on optical waveguides, giving users an extended reality (XR) experience to enable entertainment, productivity and daily tasks.
