
The Department of Anthropology of the University of Hyderabad participates in the international project “After the only use”, which aims to solve the environmental and health impact of plastics with one use in healthcare.
Funded Wellcom Trust with the Discovery Award 5.9 million GBP, connects the global team of scientists from eight countries to explore the cultural, social and environmental dimensions of medical plastics and support circular health economies, said official release on Monday.
Associate Professor Nanda Kishhore Kannuri will receive a 422 608 GBP grant (approximately 5.00 29,264 GBP) in a five -year period to contribute to this initiative. The project will explore the factors that shaped the current waste of waste in health care, analyze life cycles of disposable medical technologies and cooperate with the parties to the development of sustainable solutions.
“We are looking forward to working with our international partners on the development of innovative solutions that can be used in various medical environments,” Dr. Kannuri. A variety of healthcare settings, from assistance contributions in Papua-Nové Guinea to hospitals in the US and India, will be examined by the study of global interconnection in healthcare, such as syringes produced in India used in Senegal, and local resolution resolution.
The team has collaborators from the University of Edinburgh (UK), the University of New South Wales (Australia), the University of Geneva (Switzerland), the University of Oslo (Norway), the National Institute of Medical Research (Tanzania), CRCF (Senegal) as well as the PNG Institute of Medical Research The BioArt Arena Arena added edition.
