The Indian footballer was left amazed when there were reports that the legendary Spanish football player Xavi Hernandez asked for the role of the head coach of the Indian football team. Given that the excitement soon changed to disappointment after the All India (AIFF) football Federation (AIFF) stressed that they could not confirm whether the application was real or not.
Now there has been another twist in the story. The Telegraph report suggests that the person who sent an e-mail was only a 19-year-old university student. He studies at the Vellore Institute of Technology, a private university in Tamil Nadu and used the Chatgpt to create e -mail.
“I copied the answer (Chatgpt) and sent it. I didn’t connect my CV or something, but I think they saw the mail,” the student quoted.
The AIFF issued a statement On Saturday, July 26, where they revealed that they had these anticipated applications but could not verify their authenticity. Surprisingly, they even mentioned that the current head of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, was also on the list of applicants.
“In addition, AIFF has received e -mail with providing applications from Spanish coaches PEP Guardiola and moreover Xavi Hernandez. The authenticity of their applications cannot be confirmed, and since then it has been shown that the e -mail applications were not real, ”AIFF read.
The new head coach has to be completed and Indian football seems to be in desperate straits at club and international level. The future of the Indian Super League also remains uncertain because of the ongoing Tussle between AIFF and FSDL, which will still be officially closed.
The Indian football body revealed that they spent only three applications. They also suggested that they are looking for someone who has a better understanding of the Asian football scene and also in India.
“The key transmission from the negotiations was the shared view that the appointment of a coach with a profound understanding of the Asian and Indian football ecosystem would be very beneficial for the immediate and future success of the national team,” the statement reads.
