Soon three units will start to work for the treatment of mobile septavs in the Karnataka district.
Vehicles for the treatment of mobile septage, which were described by the Minister responsible for the NS Boseraju Kodag on Friday, are considered the first in the state.
Units for the treatment of mobile septage were launched together by the Ministry of Drinking Water and Rural Hygiene, the Ministry of Development of Rural and Panchayat Raj and the administration of the district of Kodag.
While septum treatment plants already operating in Bhagamandala in Madikeri and Suntikoppa in Kusklagar, it takes at least three months to complete the treatment process, distributing its solid and liquid waste, mobile units for septage treatment can complete the treatment process within hours.
Mobile units can clean 60 to 70% water separated from the septum, but the water would not be drinking. However, the same can be used for gardening or can be released directly into drainage. The sludge or septum that remains after treatment is distributed about 80%, which can be transported to septum treatment plants and used in the production of fertilizers, the statement said.
The vehicles have a capacity to process about 6 kiloliters of the septa per day. “There is no need to transport the septum to the feacal sludge treatment plant for treatment, treatment or disposal. The whole process is carried out in the vehicle itself for the treatment of mobile septum because it is equipped with all necessary machines and can work anywhere as needed,” the statement said.
Each vehicle for the treatment of a mobile septage triggered in the Kodag district costs around 30 ₹ Lakh.
Vehicles for the treatment of mobile septitions will originally operate within the kutty, elevation and shanivarasanthe gram Panchayats in the district. In the future, the services of these vehicles will be extended across Taluks for the treatment of mobile septage.
