BJP leader and Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Saturday held a meeting with bishops and pastors from various churches across Tamil Nadu at a private hotel in Chennai.
The interaction was organized by the Tamil Nadu minority wing of the BJP and was attended by Minister of State for Information Technology L. Murugan, Tamil Nadu party co-founder P. Sudhakar Reddy and state convener of the minority wing J. Johnson.
Party sources said the INDIA bloc was trying to create a narrative that the BJP was an anti-minority party. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi works for the welfare of all and this program was an initiative to break such a narrative, party sources added.
