The Union Cabinet on Saturday (April 18, 2026) approved two multi-tracking projects covering 15 districts across Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh at an estimated cost of ₹ 24,815 crore, adding about 601 km to the existing network of Indian Railways.
The project is to be completed by 2030-31.
