The BhubaneSwar Municipal Corporation (BMC) office witnessed dramatic scenes on Monday, where a group of men reportedly pulled and dominated another Commissioner Ratnakar Sahoo for alleged bad behavior with BJP leader.
Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena said that in the case of fir and three people were arrested.
According to reports, Sahoo was attacked on alleged bad behavior with the leader of BJP Jagannath Pradhan, also known as “Jag Bhai”. When Sahoo entered the chamber, the men grabbed his collar and kicked his head, as seen in the videos that emerged on the social media.
“About five or six unknown young people were forcibly entered into my chamber. I thought they came to file their complaints. The corporator was also with them who asked me if I was wrong with BJP Jagannath’s leader.
The BMC official added that they also tried to bear him by trying to put him in the vehicle.
The attack caused a number of protests of employees of municipal corporations and opposition corporates Biju Janata Dal.
In addition, ODISHA Administration Service Association (OAS) announced a mass holiday from Tuesday to protest the incident.

The leader of BJD and former main Minister Naveen Patnaik killed the BJP government while condemning the attack and seeking the action of the main Minister Mohan Charan Maran against the strikers and political leaders behind him.
“I am absolutely shocked when I saw this video. Today, Shri Ratnakar Sahoo, Oas another commissioner, BMC, head officer of another secretary, was pulled out of his office and kicked brutally and attacked BJP, which was allegedly linked to BJP candidate,” Patnaik said.

“I ask @Mohanmodisha to undertake immediate and exemplary negotiations not only against those who committed, but more importantly, political leaders who organized and conspired this shameful attack.
“I just hope that Shri Majhi will order the immediate steps to be taken to restore faith in his government and do not allow this abominable act not to be punished as an attack on an officer by a former governor. Odisha will not forgive it,” said former cm.
