
Ukrainian President Volodymyr recently said that “it is the right idea” to put tariffs on countries that continue to conclude agreements with Russia.
In an interview with ABC News, Zelsky was asked for a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“When you saw (PM) Modi, who helped Russia … Likewise, the plan that he tried to put sanctions on them?” The interviewer asked Zlensky.
Greenly replied, “I think the idea of putting tariffs on countries that continue to conclude agreements with Russia, I think this is the right idea …”

Zeletsky’s Statence came after a 50 % tariff on Indian imports into the US came into force on August 27 – from preventing several sectors. The US increased its tariff to some Indian goods to 50% – the highest fee applied to any Asian nation – punish the country for buying oil in Moscow.
During the interview, he emphasized the need for “further pressure on Putin”.
“We all understand that we need more pressure on Putin. We need pressure from the United States. And I said I think President Trump is right about it …” he said Zlensky.
The Ukrainian President said he was “very grateful to all partners”.
However, he highlighted that some countries “continue to buy oil and Russian gas. And that is not fair”.

“To be open and to be clear, it’s not fair. So we have to stop buying any energy from Russia … We can’t have any stores if we want to resolve them (conflict),” he said Zelena.
“I really calculated that President Trump would do it, push Putin, and that’s one way to stop the killer you need to take it off, I think it will take off his weapon. Energy is his weapon,” Zelsky said.

Trump ‘very disappointed’
In the middle of the current tension between Washington and Delhi over the tariffs and the purchase of Russian oil, US President Donald Trump said that India and the United States had a “special relationship” and there was nothing to worry about because both countries have occasional moments.
“I will always be friends with (PM) modi … He’s a great prime minister. He’s great. But I just don’t like what he’s doing at this particular moment. But India and the United States have a special relationship. There is nothing to worry about. We only have moments,” Trump said on Friday.

Trump also said he was “very disappointed” that India would buy “so much oil” from Russia. “I was very disappointed that India would buy so much oil from Russia, and I let them know,” he said.
“We put a very large tariff in India, 50 % tariff, a very high tariff.
PM modi warmly replied to Trump’s notes and his positive evaluation of bilateral relationships.
“It will be deeply appreciated and fully returned to President Trump’s sentiments and the positive evaluation of our ties. India and the US have very positive and in advance complex and global strategic partnerships,” said Prime Minister in post X.
