The Directorate of General Education has issued a circular that enables time of July 16 to remedy online small mistakes in UID students as part of the requirement of pedagogical staff in schools.
This comes as a result of the finding that the invalid UID (unique identity numbers) crawled into the details of students recorded on the Samporna web portal on the sixth working day of the academic year 2025-26.
According to Kereral education rules, students should have a valid UID on the sixth working day. UIDs often become invalid for reasons such as one or two spelling changes in the name of a student.
In order to solve this problem, schools should deal with invalid UID cases. After exploring UIDs analysis of students with invalid UID at samporal, the main teachers should upload a clear photo of Aadhaar (with student photography, Aadhaar number, name, date of birth, gender) of such students in each class. Along with Aadhaar, a field should also be updated to determine why UID becomes invalid. This should be completed by July 16.
Then the main trainers of the infrastructure and KERAL technology for education (Kite), who developed the Samporna portal, should use a special login to verify invalid UID cases.
If there are up to three letters in the name, UID can be recorded as valid.
If the year of birth of students other than in class and in Aadhaar is uniform and on Samporno and the difference is only in the month or date, it can be recorded in particular and verified online.
In the event of a change in the date of birth of class I students or if there is a change in more than two fields between the name, date of birth and gender, on the basis of a request from schools hearing a committee, which includes the coordinator of the dragon, can be held by Deputy Director of Education by July 21st and examined.
