Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin inspected the command and control center functioning at the Greater Chennai Corporation office in Ripon Buildings early on Tuesday morning (October 28, 2025) to review the preparations being made in Chennai to deal with the impact of Cyclone Montha.

The command and control center continuously monitors the amount of rainfall in different parts of the city, the movement of vehicles in the metro through security cameras, the water level in the canals and the situation in the estuaries. Based on this continuous monitoring, necessary measures are being taken, according to the press release.
Mr. Udhayanidhi reviewed the complaints received through the 1913 helpline and social media and the action taken based on them. He also checked whether the complaints were immediately forwarded to the concerned officials of the Greater Chennai Corporation in the affected areas and were addressed in time.
