National Secretary General Indian Union Muslim League (iuml) PK Kunhalikutty, MLA and United Democratic Front (UDF) Conventner Adoor Prakash accused the state government and national highway authority in India (NHAI), who ignore the local population on Tuesday.
They visited the website and said it was sincere lucky that a great tragedy was averted. On Monday afternoon, a 200 -meter -raised highway collapsed in the rain in low -laid unpeeled Koriyad fields, raising serious concerns about the safety of the new road.
Mr. Kunhalikutty said they warned both the government and the Nhai of the potential danger of the construction of the road. “We told them (government) over and over again that the bridge would be better in this low area, but they did not listen,” he said. “From the layman’s point of view, this construction was unscientific. The cracks have already appeared in many places, so the highways were susceptible to accidents,” he added.
He warned that the government and Nhai would be responsible exclusively for any accidents due to the construction of the road. “It is said that it will not happen again. But we are afraid. The rain is coming. We cannot trust them,” he said.
Mr. Prakash, heard the same feelings, said Nhai had ignored people’s feelings. “Now we are witnessing the consequences,” he added. He ran to the government for being irresponsible, and accused the Minister of Public Works of PA Mohammad Riyas that he tried to get a loan on the central government road through photographs.
