
Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) state general secretary PMA Salam said the first phase of seat-sharing talks under the United Democratic Front (UDF) for the parliamentary polls would be completed soon.
He told the media on Tuesday (January 27) that negotiations are going smoothly. A meeting is scheduled in Thiruvananthapuram over the next two days. According to him, the candidates will be finalized soon.
Asked about the Nair Service Society’s decision to drop its proposed alliance with Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam, Mr. Salam said the organization should find areas of unity even though they have differences of opinion among themselves on many issues.
STU State Conference
The state conference of the Swathanthra Thozhilali Union (STU), the trade union wing of the IUML, will be held in Kozhikode from January 31 to February 2. Panakkad Syed Sadikali Shihab Thangal, IUML State President, will inaugurate the conference at Kozhikode Beach on January 31 at 5:00 PM, IUMLuary Kunhalikutty Supreme National Secret Congress. the event will be attended, among others, by the manager. The delegate conference will be held in the Jubilee Hall on February 2. Mr. Salam said that the labor sector in the country was facing a crisis and the situation in Kerala was no different. Panel discussions on labor rights, labor law amendments and corporatization will be held during the conference, he added.
