Two Yemeni students disappeared on the beach of Valappu near Puth after they set out on Monday (June 2) to the sea to bath around 12:30.
Missing students were identified as Abdul Salam, 21 years and jubran, 22. They were part of a nine-member group of foreign students-Saidm Yemen and two Sudan-Z Rathinami College in Coimbatore.
“All nine students entered the sea. While others managed to swim to safety, two disappeared,” the coastal police said.
Searching Indian Navy, Coast Guards, Coastal Police, Maritime Enforcement and Diving Fire and Rescue Services team continued late in the evening.
