
Two women were killed on the wall of the chemical production plant in the Cuddalore Sipcot on Saturday evening collapsed. The police identified the deceased as A. Elmathi (39) and D. Indra (35) from Boothankatti near Alapakkam in the district.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 17:30 in Indian Phosphate Limited, which produces sulphone acid. Women were killed after the recently built wall in the production plant collapsed and fell on them. They were both imprisoned under the debris and died on the spot.
The Cuddalore Police Police has gained bodies and sent them to the Cuddalore General Hospital. A case was registered.
The Chief Minister of MK Stalin agreed on Saturday the death of two women’s workers.
In his statement, Mr. Stalin also announced Solatium of 4 ₹ Lakh from the public fund to the main minister to the family of the deceased.
