Two women killed by SUV while crossing NH-44 in Shamshabad

Two women were killed after an SUV traveling from Chikamagalur in Karnataka towards Aramgarh allegedly hit them while they were crossing National Highway 44 near Satamrai bus stand in Shamshabad on Thursday morning.

The accident occurred around 7.20am when an SUV with registration number KA13 AA 4726 allegedly hit a pedestrian after its driver drove the vehicle rashly and carelessly.

The deceased have been identified as Suvarna (65), a housewife, and Suma (59), who worked in a function hall. Both were residents of Satamrai village and died on the spot. The bodies were taken to a hospital for autopsy. The police registered the case and started an investigation into the circumstances that led to the accident.
