
Two women were killed and three people were injured after a few devotees fell at the religious gathering in the district of Madhya Pradesh in Sehore on Tuesday (August 5, 2025), the police said.
According to the police, there was an incident around 12:00 in Kubereshwar Dham from the religious preacher Pradip Mishhr for overcrowding in Ashram.

Another higher officer said that about 50,000 to 60,000 devotees came to Ashram during the month of Sawan, and most of them come from Madhya Pradesh outside.
“The responsibility for arranging inside the ashram is on the management. The police and the administration did not have any role there. Outside the ashram, we deployed more than 400 police staff on security, but we have no role inside,” the officer said, demanding anonymity.
“Before they got to Ashram, they went to near the river stream to collect the holy water by traveling 12 kilometers on each side, and then stood in the queue in the middle of heat and moisture. It could be a reason for fainting a woman,” he added.
