Two were held with 21.2 kg of ganja, 1 liter of hash oil near Kacheguda railway station

Two alleged interstate drug peddlers were arrested with 21.2 kg of ganja and one liter of hashish near Kacheguda railway station, police said on Saturday.

The accused have been identified as Pangi Satish Kumar, 29, a laborer from Alluri Sitarama Raju district in Andhra Pradesh, and Pangi Ganesh, 29, a laborer from Koraput district in Odisha. The two are cousins.

Police said the duo had come to Hyderabad with the drugs with the intention of selling them to customers and making easy money. Acting on credible information, the commissioner’s task force, Secunderabad Zone team, along with the Kacheguda police, arrested them near the parcel office at the Kacheguda railway station.

Police seized 18 packets of ganja weighing about 21.2 kg, one liter of hash oil and two mobile phones. According to the police, the seized material was estimated at approximately 23 thousand crowns.

During interrogation, the accused reportedly told the police that they had purchased hash oil and ganja from a person identified as Loknath, a resident of Odisha, who is currently absconding. Police said further investigations are underway to trace Loknath and ascertain the source and intended recipient of the drugs.
