On the day of the Ugadi festival, the main Minister Siddaramaiah announced the release of two TMC FT water from the Bhadra reservoir between 1 and 5 April to allow the flow of water in the channels of Tungabhadra.
He Said in A Release on Sunday (March 30, 2025), ”As and Ugadi Gift To Our Hardworking Farmers and the People of Kalyana Karnataka, I am happy to Share That We Have Decided to Release 2 TMC FT In Tungabhadra Canals.
On Sunday (March 30, 2025), Bhadra has 28 TMC FT living storage, with 11 TMC FT necessary for irrigation up to 8 and 14.
From April 6, channels will only be used for drinking water supply.
