On Monday evening (May 5), two children drowned in the control dam on the Valad River near Mananthavada in Wayanad. The victims were identified as vashaplankuchu ajin bin, 15, and Kalappurakkal Christy Bineesh, 13 years old who were cousins.
The incident occurred around 17:00 when a group of five children entered a bath for the bath. When two of them began to drown, the others lifted the alarm and alerted the nearby residents. Although the children were in a critical state rushed to the Government Faculty of Medicine in Mananthavady, their lives could not be saved.
Ajin has just finished the class x from the school of St. Joseph in Kallodi while Christy was a student of class VIII on Fr. GKM High School, Kaniyaram.
