The 28 -year -old man was arrested on Thursday for being a doctor and prescribing medicines in the village of Bandarapalli near the town of Natrampalli.
Health officials identified him as Vasanth Vishwas, who only studied in class X. He rented a place to establish a clinic and a pharmacy and got around 50 patients every day.
After receiving complaints from the population, a special medical team led by K. Sivakumar, a medical officer of the government hospital Taluk (Natrampalli). The team sealed the clinic after seizure of medical equipment, including a blood pressure device, stethoscope and syringes.
Police Natrampalli was registered a case and was submitted in a sub-yail in Tirupattur. The probe is running.
